Hey everyone,Spamm has finished Vi, Shimmer Slime! He's done some amazing stuff with these liquid sims, next he'll be working on the Borderlands Maya animation so keep an eye out for that ;)
Plot: "When Vi finally manages to find Jinx but whatever she has come across, it definitely isn’t Jinx anymore."

This one's real impressive! the sfx of the slime moving inside of the body is a really nice touch. but using the sfx for the eye movement, and the way the eye itself blinks separate from the actual eyelids was a REALLY good detail!
I'd like to apologize to Spamm. I misjudged the animation right off the bat. I assumed the "jiggle" effects were intended to carry the animation. My presumptions were wrong. I know I can long winded with my comments. But it's animations like these that make me happy I'm still a patreon. Here's my impression of this work. The shot having the possessed Jinx's lower half of her face was excellent. You can see her thought process go from unsure to plotting; all while Vi is center shot. Excellent stuff right there! Vi pulls up closer to try and ascertain what's off. The possessed Jinx diverts her attention and makes her move. The camera panning to show Jinx disorienting Vi with the ambush. The actual possession scene itself is pretty impressive. Vi struggling as the shimmer slime forces itself down her throat. The camera cuts away to a shot of Vi's stomach expanding. Not only an indicator of how much the shimmer slime is pooling inside of Vi, but something that helps both the animator and voice actress. During the possession, the actress portrays initial surprise, struggle, and powerlessness. The audience understands that Vi finds this unpleasant, to say the least. The experience is excellently communicated. After Jinx releases her victim, Vi collapses to her knees. An excellent detail that tells us Vi's strength has taken a toll. Earlier in the ambush, Jinx uses her left arm to hold Vi's head in place. Vi attempt to pry away with her right. Once the slime starts to transfer, Vi tries to use her left hand, but Jinx slaps it away with ease. Later, in the torso shot, Vi's left arm is seen falling back again. Whether it was the initial attempt from before or another, the left arm stays down. Vi doesn't appear to be able to fight back. All thanks to the combination of details, both cast and crew have presented. A detail I appreciated appears after Vi is released. When Vi takes a breath, you can hear the sound of some of the slime still in there. The under head shot of Vi looking down at herself is what we continue for a majority of what's left. That was a professional level choice. When Vi asks, "what is this?" The voice actress line sounds like a distant echo. A sign that her mind is beginning to fog. The sound mixing of this animation is spectacular! Finally, the audience can see the slime start to take control. Because it's visibly pooled inside Vi, we can see it move up to a more "advantageous" position. The final shot is a close up on Vi's face, as she continues to struggle. However, while we see her, she begins to sound different. There seems to be another voice in the mix. Her head lowers and when it comes back, we see just her eyes. They've changed in more ways than one. Vi finishes up with an evil smile. Shout out to the actresses in this animation! They really helped make this animation, in my opinion, better than the prequel! Much like the "Ashley Ambushed", in my opinion, this is quality work!
This was such a awesome animation. I can not wait to see Spamm's next work!
